PRINTS, EDITIONS & CERTIFICATION<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Each photograph published on this site is issued in a maximum of thirty numbered exemplars<\/strong> including three artist\u2019s proofs<\/strong>. Beyond these thirty prints, the digital file is sealed. No further print will ever be made, in any other form or in any other format. This is what French law recognises as an original work of art<\/strong> within the meaning of article 98 A of annex III of the French General Tax Code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Each print is composed to the measure of your wall: you choose its exact dimensions, to the centimetre, in strict keeping with the work\u2019s original proportions \u2014 16:9, 3:2, 4:3 or square, as stated on its page. The length is free from 60 cm upwards; the height adjusts automatically to preserve the aspect ratio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The price is built on the real cost of making \u2014 printing, mounting, studio finishing and, where applicable, framing \u2014 and progresses centimetre by centimetre. The hanging system (recessed frame or wooden rail, depending on dimensions) is included with every print delivered unframed, at no extra charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Maximum dimensions.<\/strong> The maximum dimension depends on the printing technique and the framing chosen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The exact bounds are displayed on each work\u2019s page at the moment of configuration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All prints are produced at the PICTO Paris printing laboratory<\/strong>, the European reference for fine art printing since 1950 \u2014 Magnum Photos, the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson and Polka Galerie print their editions there. Holder of the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant label, PICTO entrusts each edition to exceptional craftsmanship, recognised by the most demanding certifications in fine art photography: Digigraphie\u00ae, the label dedicated to the limited-edition work of art; Hahnem\u00fchle Certified Studio Platinum status, of which PICTO was, in 2023, the first French laboratory to be a holder; and Canson\u00ae Infinity Certified Print Lab accreditation. These prints are part of a responsible approach, attested by the Imprim\u2019Vert, FSC\u00ae and PEFC labels, as well as a Gold-level EcoVadis rating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Twelve-colour pigment printing in very high resolution on Hahnem\u00fchle Photo Rag Baryta 315 gsm \u2014 a baryta paper with a gloss finish, designed for contemporary fine art photography. Pigment inks offer chromatic stability beyond one hundred years under appropriate conservation conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A premium finishing process in which the pigment print is mounted between a 3 mm anti-reflective museum-grade plexiglass front face and a 2 mm aluminium Dibond backing. The rendering is luminous, deep, vibrant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Delivered with its invisible hanging system. Depending on dimensions, a recessed aluminium frame lifts the work a few centimetres off the wall to create a floating effect \u2014 the premium hanging of museum collections, included at no extra charge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Lambda silver halide print on Ilford satin RC 190 gsm paper, laser-exposed onto a silver-based emulsion. This is the reference silver process for contemporary black and white fine art printing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Each print is delivered unframed, ready to receive the framing of your choice: floater frame (natural oak, matte black wood or satin white wood) or Nielsen frame. Prints face-mounted under plexiglass (Diasec type) are framed exclusively in a floater frame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Each print is delivered with its certificate of authenticity. A unique document, numbered identically to the print, dated and signed by the artist\u2019s hand, sealed with an embossed stamp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Upon confirmation of your order, a provisional certificate of authenticity<\/strong> is issued to you in digital form. Upon receipt of your print, once the delivery note has been signed, it becomes final<\/strong> : it is then provided to you in printed and digital form, activated by a unique authentication QR code<\/strong> . A back label<\/strong> sealed to the back of the work carries this same QR code: it physically links the print to its certificate and allows its authenticity to be verified at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n All works are shipped by a carrier selected case by case \u2014 according to the dimensions of the work, its weight and the delivery destination \u2014 with ad valorem insurance covering the declared value. Shipping time: 15 to 25 working days from the order \u2014 the time required to produce the print at the atelier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Shipping costs apply per print ordered and are cumulative when an order includes several works: metropolitan France \u20ac60, French overseas territories \u20ac150, European Union \u20ac120, international outside the European Union \u20ac250 (excluding customs duties and local taxes), other countries on quotation. The exact amount is calculated and displayed before payment is confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For long-term conservation: avoid direct sunlight and UV exposure, maintain a stable temperature between 18 and 22 \u00b0C, with 45\u201355% relative humidity. Under these conditions, a baryta or Lambda silver halide print keeps its colorimetry beyond 100 years, and a pigment print under plexiglass beyond 75 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Under French law, a photograph is an original work of art<\/strong> when it is taken by the artist, printed by him or under his control, signed and numbered within a limit of thirty exemplars, all formats combined (article 98 A, annex III of the French General Tax Code). By imposing this strict limit \u2014 thirty prints including three artist\u2019s proofs, the file sealed beyond \u2014 the artist chooses rarity, the value of the signature and the patrimonial dimension of the print.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This status carries a specific tax regime: since 1 January 2025, the acquisition of a work of art is subject to VAT at the reduced rate of 5.5%<\/strong> (article 278-0 bis of the French General Tax Code), applied to all prints offered on this site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Businesses: a dedicated tax advantage.<\/strong> Companies acquiring original works by living artists may deduct the purchase price from their taxable income, in equal instalments over five years, within the limit of \u20ac20,000 or 5\u2030 of turnover (article 238 bis AB of the French General Tax Code, a scheme extended until 31 December 2028). The work must be displayed in a place accessible to employees or customers during that period.
